While the debut of the all-new 2007 Cadillac CTS is currently unknown we here at The GMSource (GMS) have been able to confirm a few minor details about the vehicle. What you are looking at below is a photo interpretation of what the next generation CTS will look like upon its debut. Done by world famous designer Chris Pauwels who has had his work featured in Popular Hot Rodding and has spoken with General Motors in the past, gives us the best look at what the Lutz inspired "Art & Science" CTS will look like. Industry sources that have seen this chop give it credence and praise for its accuracy. Great job, Chris!

As you can see on the GMS CTS, Cadillac will be dipping back into the well with side vents similar to those that we have seen on the all new 2007 Cadillac Escalade. An apparent new Cadillac design that will become standard across its entire line-up of RWD vehicles.

Obviously the all new CTS will feature an all-new front and rear facia. Chris's chop gives us our best look at the new face of the CTS. What is not pictured is the rear, which we believe the taillights do not crease up and over the trunk as in Hans chop. On this front 3/4th shot by Pauwels one can clearly see the crease that begins on the front fender and makes its way up towards the rear door giving the CTS a nice, athletic stance.

We expect the CTS to become similar to its brother, the STS in size. Not in length, but in width. It has been reported that the CTS will get wider to match its sibling, just not longer.

General Motors execs have already confirmed the CTS will get GM's new Direct Injection 3.6l engine. It is unknown at this point of the vehicle will receive GM's 6 speed automatic transmission or if the 5 speed will continue to be used.

One other important piece of information. Expect the CTSv to ring in with at least 500hp as the Chevrolet Corvette gets the "Super-Vette" later in the decade.

We'd like to welcome Chris to The GMSource as a contributing member to our growing community. You can view Chris's other work at http://www.ChrisPauwels.com

It's the '08 CTS not '07 and the CTS will have bigger headlights.
