Fan Of Buick? Check Out This Dealer Trade In

TheGMSource - It's not often a dealership comes across such a gem as one that showed up at the former #1 Pontiac dealership in the world, Jim Causley Pontiac-GMC Truck. Well, lots has changed in recent months. Causley no longer sells Pontiac, they now sell Buick and continue to sell GMC's. A few days ago, a Buick rolled onto their lots as a trade-in on a new Buick model. What was traded in and how pristine is this Buick? If you're a fan of the brand, you're going to want to continue to read on.

GM Says Pontiac Vibe Is Safe To Drive Despite Recall

TheGMSource - Consumer Reports has said today that vehicles involved in the Toyotal Recall are not safe to drive, something quite encouraging for those millions of drivers on the road today wouldn't you say? However, GM seems to think that its only vehicle involved in the recall is perfectly fine.

Update On GM's 1 Year Free Service To All Pontiac Owners

TheGMSource - You may remember a few weeks back I had blogged about how my entire family had received an offer of one year free service on all of our Pontiac vehicles. I got one for my 2006 Pontiac Solstice, my mother got one for her 2009 Pontiac G5 and my dad got one for his 2004 Pontiac Grand Am GT.

A few people on Twitter had said they did not receive such an offer although they've loyal Pontiac owners for several years. Others on this web-site had said their dealership told them it was not "free" just "half off" despite what the offer letter states. So, I went to work and got in touch with GM's Director of of Communications Terry Rhadigan.

View From The Source: Buick Regal GS Show Car

TheGMSource - When GM showed the 2011 Buick Regal at the 2009 LA Auto Show it left many enthusiasts clamoring for more. There were rumors that we'd see a more powerful Regal at an upcoming auto show. One that quite possibly sported the same features as the Opel Insignia OPC sold in other countries.

At the 2010 NAIAS GM did not disappoint the enthusiasts and showed the Buick Regal GS Show Car. It's listed as a show car for now, but let there be no doubt about it, this car will see production. I give my thoughts on the show car and the hope it gives Pontiac owners.

The Source's View: The GMC Granite Concept

TheGMSource - It's that time of the year again that I, you know, TheGMSource chimes in with my opinion on GM's concept and production vehicles at this years 2010 North American International Auto Show.

Because I know you're all waiting to hear what I have to say wait no longer and hit the jump for "The Sources View" of hte GMC Graphite Urban Utility Vehicle.

GM Giving Current Pontiac Owners One Free Year Of Preventative Maintenance

TheGMSource - GM loves Pontiac customers, even if GM doesn't love the Pontiac brand. So, in an effort to keep current Pontiac customers happy, and to show that GM really does care about us, we're getting something for free, up to four times a year. What is it? Preventative maintenance on your Pontiac model you still own.

Hit the jump for more.

Is The Buick Brand Going To Expand To Eight Models?

TheGMSource - File this under the often used "rumor mill" that makes its way around the auto business seemingly ever few hours. In an interview by one of Buicks new dealers, its mentioned that Buick may expand to include eight models? Hit the jump for the full deets on what may see Buick doubly its line-up, then chime in with your thoughts.

TheGMSource - The vehicle that many enthusiasts hope will continue on, the Pontiac G8 GXP has just been named a "Best of" car for 2009. The award is from the often critical of GM web-site, FoxNews.com and joins the Chevy Equinox with the award.

New Ad Shows Buick Regal Starting Price

TheGMSource - The Buick Regals return to the U.S. is highly anticipated by several automotive enthusiasts. I have to admit, I'll be taking a pretty long look at the Regal when it goes on sale next year - provided pricing is within range. I'll need something to take the place of my Solstice as I plan to retire it before snow hits this year in Michigan. For now, I'm safe with a G5.

With that said, we've come across this ad showing the all-new Buick Regal. To my knowledge there has not been any mention of pricing. Take a guess at what the ad shows for pricing then hit the jump for your first look at rumored pricing courtesy of a GM dealers ad.

Fritz Henderson Really Does Smile

TheGMSource - The ghost town known as TheGMSource is slowly but surely getting brushed off these days to find light. Normally, I like to take the summer off to drive my Solstice across country to see some friends that have moved away. This year I've taken a bit more time off unexpectedly because I was recently hired back at The General. With that said, there are a BUNCH of changes happening at GM each and everday.

So many changes in fact, that the plant I worked at last year really isn't like the plant I'm working at now. It's all very different in how the company does things. With that said, and with absolutely no relation to what I just wrote, Fritz Henderson does smile. Believe it or not.

Labor Day 2009: Fuel Mileage Out Of Our 2009 Pontiac G5

The Color Of Our '09 Pontiac G5

TheGMSource - Now, I know that Labor Day was a few months ago but I had to share the fuel economy that I averaged on my trip from a city in metro-Detroit up to Caseville, Michigan. Just for reference, I'm about halfway between the GM Ren Cen and the Warren Tech Center. Caseville, Michigan is located up in the thumb of my great state.

Buick Halo Car Coming Soon? Maybe? Possibly?

TheGMSource - Buick has what seems to be a sure-fire hit on its hands in the 2010 Buick LaCrosse. The car is much more "grown up" and very "mature" in style. It appeals to me (I'm 25) and it also appeals to friends of mine that have seen the new LaCrosse.

However nice the LaCrosse is, it wouldn't draw me in to a Buick dealership. In fact, nothing Buick or GMC sells would draw me in to their dealership - and that's a major problem considering what would pull me in to the Buick-GMC dealership has been cancelled: Pontiac.
