Three Chevrolet's Named "Ideal Vehicles" By AutoPacific

TheGMSource - New GM will need the success of Chevrolet if it wishes to be a profitable, healthy company once more. Recently, the Chevy Camaro received an award from Edmunds.com, just one of several awards its won already. Today we can notch up one other honor for not only the Camaro, but also for the recently launched Equinox and Suburban.

AutoPacific sent out 42,000 surveys to be completed by owners of new cars and trucks in the United States in the first quarter of 2010.

To gauge owners’ satisfaction with their new vehicles, the surveys ask a battery of questions about what owners would change relative to vehicle size, power, visibility, roominess, handling, technology, ride and safety features. The vehicles with the least change suggestions wins.

Below is what each vehicle took home the honors in:

Chevrolet Camaro, for Best in Class Ideal Vehicle in the Sporty Car category.

Chevrolet Suburban, for Best in Class Ideal Vehicle in the Large Sport Utility category.

Chevrolet Equinox, for Best in Class in the Premium Mid-Size Crossover SUV category.

“In the AutoPacific surveys, owners have ranked the Camaro, Equinox, and Suburban as the most ideal vehicles in their segments,” said Jim Campbell, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. “As such, the Ideal Vehicle Awards are powerful testaments to the performance, design, and value Chevrolet strives to deliver in every one of our cars, crossovers, and trucks.”
